CNC MACHINING / MACHINE SHOPS

ISO 9001:2015-certified CNC machine shops in Pflugerville, TX & Stroudsburg, PA.

Integrated into EVS Metal’s full fabrication network — sheet metal through machining through finishing — under one roof.

Most fabricated metal components don’t arrive at machining as clean, isolated parts. They arrive already cut, formed, and sometimes welded — carrying dimensional relationships that have to stay intact while additional features are added. EVS’s CNC machining capability is designed around that reality. The machine shops in Texas and Pennsylvania exist to perform secondary operations on fabricated assemblies, not to compete with dedicated job shops on standalone machining work.

Machine shops at the Texas and Pennsylvania facilities are ISO 9001:2015 certified. The Texas shop is additionally ITAR-registered, making it capable of handling defense-related machining requirements alongside standard commercial production. Both shops run modern equipment — the oldest machine in the network was installed in 2019 — and the fleet is matched to the type of work EVS runs: precision tolerances, moderate-to-high volumes, and parts that often arrive at machining already cut, formed, or welded.

OEM programs that require CNC machining as part of a larger fabricated assembly benefit from the single-source model. EVS handles the full routing — sheet metal through machining through finishing and assembly — under one quality system, one account team, and one set of lead times. That’s a different relationship than coordinating fabrication and machining through two separate vendors.

Advanced CNC Machining Technology

Our ISO 9001:2015-certified machine shops in Pflugerville, TX (ITAR-registered), just outside of Austin, and Stroudsburg, PA are equipped with automated, state-of-the-art CNC machining technology for plastics and metals, including steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Our engineers import 3D files (.sldprt, .prt, stp, iges, x_t) using the most recent version of SolidWorks 3D CAD software, and our machine operators use these 3D models to program the equipment using MasterCam® X.

Modern Machining for Precision Fabrication

Our investment in advanced machining solutions extends beyond the ordinary. We’ve unlocked the potential to efficiently perform secondary operations on precision sheet metal fabrications.

CNC Machining Integrated Into Fabricated Metal Production

Manufacturers who need CNC machining alongside sheet metal fabrication are often solving a coordination problem as much as a manufacturing one. Parts need to move between processes, tolerances need to carry through from one operation to the next, and quality sign-offs need to happen at each stage. When machining and fabrication run through separate vendors, that coordination falls on the buyer.

EVS’s machine shops in Pflugerville, TX and Stroudsburg, PA are designed to remove that problem. The shops run Haas VF4SS and VF2 vertical machining centers, a Haas VF-2 CNC vertical super-speed machining center in New Hampshire, and a Haas 2020 EC-400 4-axis horizontal machining center in Texas — a horizontal configuration that improves chip evacuation, reduces repositioning, and supports longer unattended cycle times on repeat production runs. Tolerances are held to +/-.001 in., and the Keyence XMC5000 portable benchtop CMM provides in-process dimensional verification without pulling parts off the floor.

The practical result for OEM customers is a machined component — whether it’s a bracket, chassis feature, or secondary-operation detail — that’s been produced within the same quality system, tracked through the same ERP, and shipped as part of the same assembly. For programs where machining is one step in a larger build, that continuity matters.
