Position: 2nd Shift Powder Coat Operator

2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 12 pm

Company / Position Overview:

EVS Metal is a leading American manufacturer of precision fabricated, machined metal and integration services. We have an immediate opening for a Powder Coat Operator. This position involves applying a durable, protective finish to metal parts and curing them in an oven to create a smooth, hard finish resistant to corrosion, chipping, and fading.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Apply powder on parts / assemblies as per customer specifications and load-unload parts on powder line.
• Apply powder on parts / assemblies and perform in-process check to assure that the process is meeting standards and expectations.
• Must be able to read manufacturing technical drawing and interpret for masking and powder coating.
• Set-up the powder coating gun, apply powder on parts.
• Assure that the first piece is correct prior to presentation to Quality Assurance for approval.
• Load and unload parts on line.
• Must be able to stand for entire shift of work.
• Follow ISO 9001:2015 procedures.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Proficient with calipers and powder coating thickness gauge.
• Must be able to identify various powder types and understand finish specifications.
• High School/GED and minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
