Across many of our most important industries, you’ll find there’s often a team of welders working to bring a project to life. Those who pursue this fulfilling career path could find themselves working on an off-shore oil rig, in Hollywood special effects or even fabricating race cars, like some of our machinists did recently with Columbia University.
In fact, as you’ll see in the resource guide on this page, some of the largest welding projects ever completed were mind-blowingly huge, such as the Empire State Building or the Alaska Pipeline.
Many industries are in need of welders, and, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, that’s not going to change any time soon. Welding jobs are expected to grow six-percent through 2026.
