(June 15, 2017 — RIVERDALE, NJ) EVS Metal was recently named a Fab 40 manufacturer for 2017 by “The Fabricator” magazine, landing at number 24, the only sheet metal fabricator in the Tri-State area (New Jersey, New York and Connecticut) to receive this honor. This is EVS’s 8th consecutive year on the list.
EVS: A Leader in Metal Fabrication
Throughout 2016, EVS demonstrated a consistent dedication to company growth that illustrates why EVS Metal has been a part of The Fab 40 year after year. The company acquired a well-respected NJ CNC shop in order to expand machining capabilities at their NJ facility. Several new lasers were purchased, including an Amada fiber laser for the same NJ location, and a laser cutting system with rotary index for their Keene, New Hampshire facility. These additions have allowed EVS to stay at the forefront of metal fabrication technology.
State of the Metal Fabrication Industry in Brief
The Fabricator’s coverage also included an overview of the metal fabrication industry as a whole, highlighting slow but stable growth since 2010, the first year the report was published. In fact, over the last 8 years, the companies making up the Fab 40 have seen revenue increase overall from a combined $1.6B to 2.3B as of 2017. Additionally, while the last two years have been rather flat, the 2017 FMA capital spending forecast predicts total equipment spending to hit $2.2B — an excellent indicator that the industry is feeling positive enough to make big investments where needed. EVS Metal is no exception, and plans to continue further expansions through 2018 via additional investments in new machines and skilled personnel across their four U.S. locations.
