In addition to ranking the top U.S. metal fabricators by total revenue, the Fab 40 also outlines some important industry facts and trends, painting a more complete picture of fabrication as a whole, rather than providing only a basic distillation of the numbers. For instance, although total revenues for the Fab 40 were only very slightly higher in 2016 over 2015 ( $2.16B vs $2.15B), total employment increased nicely at 5%, and the majority of companies are predicting and preparing for significant growth over the long term. With revenue expected to increase by as much as $3M year over year, we are investing in the people, processes and equipment to ensure we are able to consistently meet our current customers’ needs for quality and efficiency while continuing to attract new business at the same time.
